Anne Burrell

Anne W. Burrell is an American chef-turned-tv personality, and former instructor in the Institute of Culinary Education. She is the host of the Food Network show Secrets of a Restaurant Chef and is co-host of Worst Cooks in America. Ann Burrell's Food Network show Secrets of a Restaurant chef is a hit with her signature hairstyle and her spiky, blond locks as well as her pumped up appearance, offers the simplest techniques that anyone could learn. Chef Burrell was also employed in some of New York's top eateries, studied Italian cuisine as well as its traditions. She also took part in Food Network Iron Chef America. Growing up in the Upstate region of New York Chef Burrell was attracted by the food. Following her graduation with an English and Communication degree from Canisius College in Buffalo NY she pursued her interest in the business of restaurant by enroling as a student at The Culinary Institute of America. The Culinary Institute of America has been a fantastic adventure for me. It was impossible to learn how to do, or even work hard enough. Following her graduation, Chef Burrell was able to spend a full year in Italy participating in Italy's Italian Culinary Institute for Foreigners during her time at La Taverna del Lupo in Umbria and La Bottega del 30 a 1 Michelin star restaurant in Tuscany. While in Italy she was able to fully comprehend and appreciate the concepts of Italian cuisine and its culture, which has had a profound impact from a culinary viewpoint. Burrell is a part of the Garden of Dreams Foundation Advisory Board which improves children who are facing difficulties. She also serves as a Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation Celebrity Ambassador. she promotes youth diabetes awareness. As a speaker, Burrell travels across the nation to share her passion for food as well as her career in the culinary field.
