Markie Post

Markie Post grew up in Walnut Creek, California and began her career in films and TV shows such as Card Sharks (1978) and "The New Card Sharks" (1986) and then went on to produce such projects as Double Dare (1976) and was a guest on TV shows such as 1st to Die (2003), E! True Hollywood Story (1996) and Electra Woman and Dyna Girl (2001). She is perhaps most famous for her role as "Christine Sullivan", the Night Court star (1984). From 1984 to 1992 she was a part of 156 shows. Marylee (Armstrong) Post was her mother. She is famous for her poetry and as a nuclear scientist Richard Freeman Post (November 14 1918-April 7, 2015). Two daughters, Katie Ross (born June 26 in 1987) and Daisy Ross (born on March 30 in 1990), were her second marriage to Michael A. Ross. She was born in Palo alto, California and grew up close to Walnut Creek in California. She was an athlete at Las Lomas High School, Walnut Creek, California. Lewis & Clark College in Portland Oregon awarded her a Bachelor of Arts degree. She was the trick roper in The Wildest West Show of the Stars (1986). Was cremated and her ashes returned to her husband Michael A. Ross. She was a lifetime Democrat. Markie Post passed away on the 7th of August in 2021. She died just three months from what would be her 71st birthday, which was on November 4. She died 27 days after Charles Robinson, her Night Court (1984), co-star, died on July 11 2021. Even though the shows were not related, Night Court (1984) was the final show to end with Christine Sullivan's character leaving for Washington DC. Hearts Afire (1992) began with Post as Georgie Lahti. Post was a new character in Hearts Afire (1992), and she later moved to a smaller community after her time in Washington DC.
