Thora Birch

Thora Birch, born March 11, 1982, is an American actress. Her film debut was in Purple People Eater (1988) and she won the Young Artist Award for "Best Young Artistress Under Nine Years old". Birch was a child actor who appeared in movies like All I Want For Christmas (1991) as well as the Patriot Games(1992), Hocus Pocus (1993), Monkey Trouble (94), Now and Then (1995) as well as Alaska (1996). She received a Young Artist Award for "Best Young Actress under Nine Years of Age." In 1999, Birch played Jane Burnham in American Beauty. This film brought her an BAFTA nomination. In the following year, she played in Ghost World (2001) as Enid. She was nominated for the Golden Globe Award for Best Actress. In 2003, Birch received an Emmy Award nomination for her role in the lead role in Homeless to Harvard: The Liz Murray Story. Birch also starred on Dungeons & Dragons (2000) (2001), The Hole (2004), Silver City (2004), Dark Corners (2006) and Winter of Frozen Dreams (2009). Birch was also the Whisperer Mary/Gamma in the season 10 episode of The Walking Dead (2019-202). Birch the eldest of Jack Birch's son, was born in Los Angeles. Birch is German-Jewishand has Scandinavian and French-Canadian in her ancestry. [6] Her name, Thora is taken from the name of Thora, the Norse god thunder and lightning ("Thor") and could be her name if she had been a child. Kian Bolt Birch Her younger brother, is her mother. They are both former adult film actors, and were both part of Deep Throat. Because of their own experiences in the entertainment industry it was difficult for them initially to encourage Thora. But, her photo was seen by agents after a babysitter watched her imitation commercials. Birch was given her first major breakthrough at the age of four when her babysitter took her to an audition for a Quaker Oats commercial.
